Mariska Hargitay and Paula Abdul Appear Camera-Perfect at the Emmys Wearing OPI

OPI took the spotlight at the 2010 Emmys, with actress Mariska Hargitay and artist/TV personality Paula Abdul choosing OPI Nail Lacquers to complete their red-carpet styles.

As a presenter for the evening, Hargitay complemented her blush-colored silk Vera Wang gown and Fred Leighton jewelry with OPI’s We’ll Always Have Paris. Providing the perfect tone to transition from late summer into early fall, the rich coffee shade added a sophisticated touch to the soft, romantic nature of Hargitay’s look. Styled by OPI Celebrity Manicurist Beth Fricke, Hargitay departed from her usual preference of pale colors in a nod to fall’s trend toward rich brown hues.

Meanwhile, Paula Abdul paired her Dolce & Gabbana dress with OPI’s DS Classic on her hands and William Tell Me About OPI on her toes. A shimmering golden-beige, DS Classic gave Abdul’s look a dazzling shine, while the crisp burgundy of William Tell Me About OPI from the new Swiss Collection by OPI provided an elegant yet fashion-forward counterpoint. A manicurist from ROBB, the first OPI concept salon in the U.S., manicured Abdul at her home prior to the Emmys.

OPI Nail Lacquers are available at Professional Salons, including Beauty Brands, Beauty First, Dillard’s, JCPenney, Pure Beauty, Regis, Trade Secret, and Ulta, for $8.50 ($9.95 CAN) suggested retail for each Nail Lacquer. 1. I did notice some colored polish on some of the ladies. I hated when it was just the plain nails or French manicures. So boring! I also noticed on another show the lighter polish moon and then the vampy polish. Love that look. My nails are too short to try that.
