Christmas Nails with KISS Stencil Kit

Hello everyone, Sorry for the lack of posts lately.  I was busy with the Thanksgiving Holiday, then I came down with a cold....but I am feeling better now.  Today I have for you a mani I did with the Kiss Stencil Kit.

EDIT:  I switched out the image of the regular stencil kit with this one for the Holiday Nail Artist Stencil Kit.  The regular paint and stencil kits are available at most drugstores nationwide, and online HERE

I also contacted KISS and found out that the Holiday Nail Artist Stencil Kit is available for a Limited Time Only at CVS drugstores.

Step 1:
Paint your nails. To paint my nails I used 1 Coat of China Glaze Snow, 1 Coat of China Glaze Frosty and 1 Coat of Nubar's  Nubar 2010.  I painted my ring finger with 2 Coats of China Glaze Cheers To You and 1 Coat of Nubar's  Nubar 2010.

Step 2:
Choose your stencil and apply to nail.  These individual stencils are great.  They are soft and rubber like. They self adhere to the nail nicely without leaving any sticky residue. After you have painted over the stencil and let it dry, you simply pull it off using the tab.  I'm not sure if you can reuse these or not, i'll have to try that out.

Step 3:
Paint over the stencil with your desired color.  I used Konad Special Polish in White.

Step 4:
Let the polish dry, then remove the stencil.  After you have removed the stencil, you can decorate the nail with nail art pens, gems, etc.

Products I Used:

Candy Cane Stencil (Thumb) - I used a Red 2-way Nail Art Pen and Shimmering White Migi Nail Art Pen for the candy cane striped, then I added a little golden glitter over the candy cane with a gold glitter polish that came with the KISS Stencil Kit.  I then added a red and a green Art Club gem.

Reindeer Stencil (Index) - I painted over the stencil with China Glaze Millenium.  I then added a red nose using a red 2-way nail art pen.  Then I added a star and a green gem.

Christmas Tree (Middle) - I painted the stencil using three different polishes. First, I used Color Club Almost Famous for the star on the tree (you can see it because I covered it up).  Second, I used China Glaze Jolly Holly for the  Christmas Tree.  Third, I used China Glaze Mommy Kissing Santa for the base of the tree.   I then decorated the nail with little stars from the Art Club Enchanted Holiday- Holiday Gems.

Snowman (Ring) - I painted over the stencil using Konad Special polish in white.  I then used China Glaze Jolly Holly to paint the scarf green.  Then I added a hat with a gold 2-way nail art pen and some buttons and eyes with Migi Nail Art Pen in Black.  Lastly, I added some decoration with Art Club gems.

Gingerbread Man (Pinky) - I painted the stencil using Nubar Taffeta.  I added eyes and buttons with a Migi Nail art pen in shimmering white.  I added a mouth using a red 2-way nail art pen.  Then I added some Art Club Gems.

All of the nails were finished off with Seche Vite.

I am going out of town this weekend so there won't be another post until sometime next week.  I have a couple of things that will be coming up.  I will be reviewing some Nail Rock designer nail wraps and I will also be reviewing some of the same products that are included in my current Broadway Nails Giveaway.

Hope you all have a great weekend!

  3. This is so cute, I love the little gingerbread man.
The stencils look quite sturdy to me, so I'd guess that they're reusable. I hope (but kinda doubt) that these will show up near me, too. I'm a sucker for cute stencils.

  5. @Enamel Girl- Thanks!

@Kimmie & Zara- I got these in a package of giveaway prizes, but a bottle of polish that was in the kit broke during shipping. I was able to salvage the stencils. I'll try to find out what kit these are from and let everyone know.

    @CucumPear-Thanks!
